The very best of personal service and attention to detail is promised visitors to the Aleenta, the latest boutique hotel in this area of Thailand.

Situated on the golden sands of Paknampran Bay on the Gulf of Thailand, the Aleenta Resort and Spa Hotel is the newest boutique residence in the area of Pranburi. Not far away is Royal Hua Hin where the Thai Royal family has their Summer Palace, guarded by ships of the fleet whose presence lights up the sea at night. Aleenta is also not far from the famed Chiva Som Health Resort.

Just a few hours drive from Bangkok this luxurious sanctuary is a very private retreat, ideal for honeymooners or those who desire perfect peace. No televisions are there to disturb the ambiance, mobile 'phone use is discouraged, and the staff seem to glide along soundlessly. It is the ultimate de-stress hotel.

The Hotel Has Two Wings

The Aleenta Resort and Spa has two wings, the Resort Wing and the Frangipani Wing, lying a short distance apart. It is an easy walk, or there are golf-carts and drivers to escort clients from one wing to the other. All is light and air, in keeping with Aleenta's Outside Living In philosophy.

Rooms and Villas at the Aleenta Resort Wing, Pranburi

Each unit is stylish yet comfortable, the decor a fusion of traditional Mediterranean and ethnic Asian design, with private balconies offering panoramic sea views. A highly unusual feature of the hotel is the provision of an iPod and an iDock in each room together with a music library. The bed linen is super luxurious, being 360-count long stem Egyptian Cotton. All the toiletries are made with essential oil extracts and the towels, dressing gowns and slippers are made from superior fabrics.

The resort has 4 Ocean View one-bedroom suites (two ground floor and two upper floor) tucked away within a flower-filled courtyard and overlooking the sea. A luxury two-storey Beach House comprises two suites, the ground floor suites featuring a private verandah and plunge pool, the upper level with front and rear balconies as well as a private rooftop sundeck. There is one bedroom and one bathroom on each level.

Each of the five Palm Pool Suites comes with a private plunge pool, outdoor terrace and ensuite rain shower, located next to the beach. Directly on the beach there are 3 one-bedroom, thatched roof bungalows designed for total relaxation and featuring king size beds, large private verandah and jacuzzi/plunge pool.

A spectacular feature of The Penthouse is the 180-degree view of the Gulf of Thailand with a backdrop of Sam Roi Yod (the Three Hundred Peaks National Park). The penthouse is a large and very private circular-shaped suite set above the resort's grounds and it features a stone tub for two.

The Frangipani Wing of The Aleenta Hotel, Pranburi

This is the older part of the hotel and each of the six suites in the Frangipani Wing enjoys direct access to the large swimming pool which leads directly to the beach and the sea. Each suite boasts a sea view, large balcony or sundeck, and each of the suites is unique. One or two of them have outside showers which have to be seen – and experienced – to be appreciated. (Imagine your soaps and lotions hanging from the branch of a tree).

Dining at the Aleenta Resort Hotel

The intimate dining room serves exquisite meals from both Thai and Western menus – which change daily, with an emphasis on healthy seafood selections and organic vegetables grown in the Aleenta nursery. These are accompanied by wines from an extensive, and exciting, wine menu.

Aleenta Spa

The Spa treatments are based on a holistic approach to treating the body, mind and spirit. The therapists have undergone an intensive course of training and all have qualifications from the Spa Association of Thailand and specialise in therapies from other parts of Asia as well as Thailand. Treatments in the Outdoor rooms with sea view are especially recommended. Also on offer is Yoga instruction, Tai Chai instructions, and Spa Cooking Class.

If the laid-back atmosphere gets too much, clients can always indulge in some outdoor pursuits. The area is a golfer’s paradise with six international golf courses within an hour of the resort. Walking along the magnificent beach, snorkelling or kayaking to the area’s islands are easily done from the hotel and excursions by boat to Monkey Island, by car to Hua Hin, to various cultural and classical sites, or to any one of several National Parks can be made at any time.
